The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Hungary; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Péter Magyar's Tisza party clinched a supermajority with over 140 seats in Hungary's National Assembly during the April 12, 2026, parliamentary election, decisively defeating Viktor Orbán's Fidesz and prompting the incumbent's immediate concession. This landslide, driven by high turnout and Magyar's appeal as a former Fidesz insider turned reformist challenger, has solidified trader consensus at 99.4% for his premiership. Recent developments include Magyar's Brussels talks on EU fund releases and calls for parliament to convene by early May for a confidence vote. While procedural formalities remain, potential challenges like presidential delays, legal disputes over results, or internal Tisza fractures could theoretically disrupt, though his commanding majority renders them highly improbable.
